Manager, Revenue and Profit Strategy

Reporting to Director, Sales Strategy & Revenue Management, this individual will be responsible for driving growth on both the top and bottom line through increasing ROI on spend, improving efficiencies in current spend, and working to create a financially viable plan. With margin enhancement as a key deliverable this individual will work collaboratively across all parts of the business to ensure that margin improvement is a key focus area for the Sales group.

**Responsibilities**:
Budgeting and Financial Management
- In collaboration with finance, prepare and maintain annual sales budget to effectively manage the full potential of the trade budget, ensuring the execution of the annual trade and brand plans, delivering the company sales and profit objectives
- Review and provide timely budget and margin updates to Sales Leadership Team complete with analysis and recommendations
- Develop and manage monthly trade and margin reports to be distributed to the sales group detailing trade plan, current trade forecast and trade activities
- Work with Finance to provide an effective set of reports and tools to allow the Sales team to more effectively manage both trade spend and customer margin

Business Development Analysis
- Evaluate price and promotion plans that will guide our revenue growth strategies and annual business plan.
- Work collaboratively with Account Teams to analyze spend, generate revenue and increase profit
- Effectively present key findings in a one-to-one or group environment
- Work with Marketing/Sales Strategy to assist in developing category and segment pricing strategies and new products pricing architecture
- Estimate volume and profit impact of proposed price increases
- Execute P&L analysis for customer negotiations and major initiatives
- Evaluate promotions practices to improve efficiency of spend and profit across all customers
- Provide strategic direction of seasonal assortment for all customers to maximize gross profit

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in business
- Six to eight years’ experience in the Packaged Goods industry with experience in managing national accounts - channel management experience would be ideal.
- Proficient in Category Management fundamentals with the ability to translate insights into actionable activities
- Previous experience in a Trade Marketing role is an asset
- Computer Proficiency, Literate in Word, Excel, Power Point, Cognos, Exceedra & Nielsen
- A self-starter with an ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Ability and proven track record of motivating and leading a Sales team
- Strong financial acumen (profitability analysis, forecasting, budget preparation/management)
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
