Site Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
The **Site Supervisor** is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all site activities that take place at Envirosoil and the TSFA cell, ensuring efficient use of labour, pugmill, machines, and materials by their crew, and will report on such things as personnel, production, material management, costs, and safety. This position will be responsible for the management of a work crew(s) and enforcement of all required safety and work regulation policies.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Envirosoil facility and TSFA cell
- Manage production team, providing regular and consistent feedback
- Ensure effective and efficient use of personnel, materials, equipment, facilities, and time
- Manage the production of the pugmill including the treatment mix required and monitoring the finished product
- Coordinate and manage stockpiles of contaminated material and the screening operation including proper disposal of screened rock
- Coordinate and manage the TSFA cell including material placement and water (hauling and treatment)
- Manage settling and stormwater ponds onsite
- Identify training gaps and ensure training is provided to team before tasks are delegated
- Monitor equipment for maintenance requirements and ensure operators perform daily checks
- Assist in the resolution of questionable incoming material and equipment problems
- Coordinate and assist in regular maintenance on pugmill, screener and other tools and equipment
- Coordinate and manage site maintenance activities
- Perform administration activities including timekeeping, labour and equipment coding, safety reporting, production quantities, etc.
- Complete all safety meetings including Daily Huddles and Toolboxes, and participate in inspections
- Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
- Protect and promote the interest of this company in all matters
- Ensure safety of fellow employees
- Assess staffing needs/ requirements
- Assess and develop employees
**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:
- 5 years’ experience working in construction
- High attention to detail in completing work tasks
- Must be well versed in construction site protocols, rules, and code of conduct
- Mechanical experience is an asset
- Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
- Ability to read plans and specifications, and understand basic contractual requirements
- High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Working safely is a condition of employment
- Valid driver’s license
