Position Summary
Reporting to the Stores Manage, the Turbine Stores Clerk is responsible for procuring parts and supplies for the Turbine Shop. They are also responsible for evaluating and sending parts out for repair, maintaining and adjusting inventory levels to meet with the demand of the shop usage, and responsible for ordering, receiving and issuing stock.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Responsible for purchasing, receiving, shipping, storing, dispersing and recording of parts, tooling and supplies in accordance with Transport Canada Aviation Regulations and Perimeter Aviation’s policies and procedures.
- Prepare Purchase Orders ensuring that all necessary information, such as lead time and cost, is entered.
- Prepare Repair Orders, ensuring all necessary removal information is provided, along with current component time constraints and work scope.
- Monitor parts history, checking for warranty and reoccurring defects.
- Review Repair Order quotations and documentation.
- Prepare and ship parts and materials via air and ground transportation, including the preparation of Customs Invoices and Dangerous Goods declarations if applicable.
- Monitor min/max and ensure parts/supplies are purchased and delivered as required.
- Work with vendors on parts, supplies and pricing issues.
- Follow up with vendors on outstanding Purchase and Repair orders.
- Conduct inventory counts, checks and adjustments.
- Oversee Quarantine area, ensuring all parts are properly stored and tagged.
- Update component records to reflect condition and status.
- Effectively co-ordinate with other purchasers for specific parts and supplies.
- Effectively co-ordinate with shop personnel for purchasing requirements.
- Effectively communicate with co-workers and vendors.
- Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence
- Previous experience with an Aviation Management software system required (WinAir preferred)
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of Aircraft/Aviation parts considered an asset
- Previous experience shipping Dangerous Goods is an asset
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
- Work in a shop environment with full range of movement including, but not limited to, bending, sitting, standing, lifting to a maximum of 50lbs, pushing and pulling daily
- Use of safety equipment as required and applicable to role
- Handling supplies that may be soiled with grease, oil and/or other chemicals
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and telephone
