Property Management Bookkeeper

Trevarren Property Management Services Inc. has an immediate full-time opening for a 16-month Property Management Bookkeeper that will manage a portfolio of multiple residential properties. This position will be trained within the first 4 months and is looking for independent/adept personnel who will be able to complete the position on their own post training.
Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Complete full-cycle accounting and monthly financial reporting for a mixed portfolio of multiple residential and condominium properties.
- Invoicing, HST remittance and full management of an inter-company books.
- Responsible for monthly Trust and General bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and general ledger account analysis.
- Process accounts receivable, notices and liaison with lawyers/paralegals for exceeded outstanding accounts.
- Review and post expenses including allocation to appropriate property expense accounts based on budgets.
- Monitoring of cash flow and monthly review/preparation of financial statements.
- Assist property manager in preparation of yearly budgets.
- Preparation of multiple annual year-end audit working papers and liaison with auditors.
- Process 3rd party payroll service for approx. 8 employees
- Interact with tenants and owners regarding all accounting related inquires/concerns.
- Perform and assist with administrative/property management duties as required.
Qualifications:
- College Diploma in related business field (preferred).
- 2-3 Years of General accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
- 1-2 Years of Property Management accounting/bookkeeping experience (preferred).
- Possess strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize.
- High level of attention to detail and deadline oriented.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 16 months
**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
