We are currently seeking an experienced **Superintendent - Civil, Water & Sewer** to join our team.

**Position Overview**:
The **Superintendent - Civil, Water & Sewer** is responsible for the scheduling and execution of civil and deep utility projects, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to the safety and quality standards of Dunwald & Fleming. This position requires strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in civil and deep utility construction, and a commitment to maintaining high performance standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of civil and deep utility projects to ensure on-time, on-budget completion
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely and safe completion of scopes assigned
- Lead, manage and mentor foremen and crews, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to company standards
- Enforce safety, environmental, and quality control policies and ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and address any issues that arise.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless workflow.
- Review and approve project cost reports; help manage job profitability and cost forecasts
- Support bidding processes and strategic project planning efforts

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Technical education or equivalent background in civil / deep utility construction
- Minimum **5 years** of experience in civil construction, with a focus on earthworks and underground utilities.
- Prior experience in a **foreman or supervisory** role.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, and underground utility installation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Valid **driver’s license** and clean driving record.
- Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS) are considered an asset.
