We are committed to delivering quality work while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. We are currently seeking an experienced **Water and Sewer Pipelayer** to join our team.

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install sewer and water lines, including mainlines, services, and connections.
- Lay and align pipes accurately according to grade specifications.
- Cut, bevel, and join pipes using appropriate methods (mechanical joints, gaskets, solvent welding, fusion, etc.).
- Perform trenching, backfilling, and compacting as required.
- Inspect and ensure proper functioning of pipe systems.
- Work closely with the excavator operator and other crew members to ensure efficient operations.
- Follow safe trenching and excavation practices in accordance with Alberta OHS regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment; participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a pipelayer in water and sewer utility installation projects.
- Familiarity with trenching, pipe-laying methods, and backfilling techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes.
- Ground Disturbance Level 2 Certification (asset).
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable means of transportation.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including mornings, days, weekends, and overtime.
- Commitment to teamwork, safety, and quality workmanship.

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Competitive hourly wage ($30 - $38/hr. depending on experience).
- Overtime pay in accordance with Alberta Employment Standards.

**Work Area**:
Projects are located throughout Alberta and surrounding areas, including water and sewer utility installations, road construction, and underground utility work. Tasks may also include ditching, excavation, trenching, and sub-grade work.
