**GoServeCare **is looking for **Social Worker **to join our team and be part of our roster for ongoing opportunities in Ontario**. **Are you someone who is only interested in working shifts on an as-needed basis and are not interested in full-time or part-time work at this point in your career?
**The Social Worker** provides assistance to patients with daily activities in hospitals, nursing homes, or patients homes. This is a casual/PT position with the possibility for FT hours.
**Rotation/Shifts**
Days and evenings, including weekends, 8 and 12 hour shifts. *For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change.
**Basic Requirements**
- A minimum two-year college diploma in social services or a related human services field. A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is preferred.
- Member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers;
- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting;
- Knowledge of a variety of theoretical frameworks and treatment modalities such as crisis intervention, systems theory, etc.
- Knowledge of the Health Care Delivery System;
- Knowledge of legislation, acts and regulations such as Ontario Works, Public Hospital and Mental Health Acts;
- Experience working with issues such as dying, grief and loss;
- Ability to provide both group and individual counseling;
- Excellent knowledge of discharge planning, community resources and the placement process;
- Excellent assessment and crisis intervention skills;
- Demonstrated skills in teaching and consultation;
- Superior written, verbal and presentation skills;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Superior interpersonal skills;
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- CAS experience;
- Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).

**Salary**: $30.00 to $60.00 /hour
