As we continue to grow, we are looking for a **System Administrator L2** to join our team.
**About the role**
As a **System Administrator L2**, you will be responsible to delivering professional service projects with a primary focus on server and workstation support. Daily tasks involve a wide range of responsibilities, from end-user assistance and troubleshooting to server/virtual machine deployments, networking, cybersecurity, Azure infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services, encompassing nearly the full Microsoft product suite. Additionally, the position includes a monthly after-hours on-call rotation, with occasional planned or emergency support as needed.
- ** Location**: 105 - 4020 Viking Way, Richmond, BC
- ** Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- ** Work Mode**: On site
**What you’ll do**
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware, software, and network-related problems across multiple client environments.
- Manage and maintain client IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and security systems.
- Conduct regular system monitoring and proactive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs, provide recommendations, and propose technology solutions.
- Lead projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements for clients.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions to clients.
- Providing excellent customer service skills and the ability to go above and beyond for our clients.
**What we’re looking for**
- 3+ years in a Systems Administrator/Tier 2 role within an MSP environment.
- 3+ years configuring Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- 3+ years supporting Microsoft 365, with in-depth knowledge of Entra, Exchange, Defender, and Intune.
- AZ-104 Certification required.
- 3+ years managing firewalls and security (Meraki, Fortinet, Sonicwall).
- Expert in Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
- Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP) with configuration and deployment ability.
- Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure cloud platform.
- Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions (Datto, Veeam).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and effective client communication.
- Solid documentation and ticket management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- High level of professionalism and continuous learning mindset.
- Great communication skills and understanding of business value.
- Preferred: Experience with ConnectWise Manage.
