Site Superintendent
Our projects are often complex and multi-faceted. As a Site Superintendent with our organization, you will work closely with the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Vice President to ensure our projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on time. The Superintendent is the front-line steward of our efforts on each site and must be capable of completing the project in quality and budget-responsible manner, on time or ahead of schedule. It is important as a company, we service the owner at a level equal to or beyond the owner’s expectations for us to maintain our position and reputation in the marketplace.

The Superintendent and Project Manager’s performance and service will be a lasting impression left on the client. Their performance and service should result in the client becoming a repeat client and our best salesman

**Responsibilities**:

- Proactively plan and be accountable for scheduling and managing construction projects and crew on site.
- Review project drawings and specifications for constructability and quality goals and seek clarifications when necessary.
- Coordinate, schedule, and sequence site work in a manner that is consistent with the requirements of each project and proactively looks for roadblocks and ways to accelerate progress.
- Provide solutions to construction challenges as they arise.
- Drive progress to meet or improve project milestones and performance.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and contractor agreements.
- Keep accurate and current records of variations to subcontract works and site conditions.
- Coordinate and supervise the preparation of mock-ups for review and approval.
- Regularly document, monitor, and direct correction of deficiencies.
- Effectively communicate with the project team as it pertains to the daily work activities, project milestones, and schedule adherence.
- Track subcontractor productivity and quality and provide suggestions for improvement and/or contract notices when appropriate.
- Maintain daily construction records and logs including photographic evidence of site progress, rental equipment, concrete and rebar supply, etc.
- Be aware of and control project costs as it pertains to temporary construction or own forces works.
- When allocating work or variations to sub-contractors, ensure such work is within the contract budget.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Diligently enforce the OHSA and Health & Safety Policy Manual.
- Motivate, lead and work with various team players, including the client, consultants, inspectors, subcontractors, tradespeople, field employees, suppliers, and all fellow employees.
- Work with the project manager to define constraints and priorities for each week.

Experience
- 10+ years of Site Superintendent experience
- Experience managing industrial, commercial, and/or institutional construction projects of approximately $5M - $20M.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Experience in construction projects with various sustainable construction initiatives.
- Completed safety training and have a good track record of safety management.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and proficient use of Microsoft Project.
- Procore or other construction management platforms' experience would be an asset.
- Experienced in electronic filing and digital communications.
- LEAN building experience as an asset

Training
- Diploma in Architectural Technology an asset or C.E.T.
- Safety and techni
