**Salary**: $80000-$90000, depending on experience

**POSITION DETAILS**:
Reporting to the Modeling Science Manager in the Trouw Nutrition Global Nutrition, Formulation and Model team, you will develop, maintain and support biological models which improve the nutrition and productivity of poultry species.
- Incorporate new modelling approaches into existing models to improve their science, accuracy and applicability. Keep up to date with the latest scientific literature pertaining to poultry modelling
- Help with the integration of poultry models into the various business units to ensure efficient utilization and maximum value across our poultry business, with particular attention to technical and training support
- Work closely with Global Strategic Marketing and representatives from poultry segments of our global operating companies to understand and meet their business requirements for models
- Maintain equations in the biological modelling environment and interact with a programming team
- Conduct appropriate trials required to validate new or improved model components, and where possible present results at scientific meetings
- Maintain and build a network of professional contacts through participation in industry and scientific associations

**EXPERTISE REQUIRED**
- PhD. in poultry science/nutrition with a strong preference for poultry nutrition modeling (not statistical modeling)
- Research experience in quantitative nutrition modeling
- Programming competency in C# is preferable
