Peak Explorer Tours is looking to hire tour guides to join our team. We offer a wide range of tours and activities in Calgary and the surrounding areas, whether on foot, bicycle or by car. Ideally, we are looking for guides who can drive and who have or are willing to obtain the class 4 driver license for commercial transport of passengers, but if you do not have a driver license we can book you on the walking and biking tours.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead guided tours for individuals or groups, providing insightful commentary and engaging storytelling.
- Create an unforgettable experience and engage guests with your customer service skills
- Educate participants about the history, culture, and significance of various sites and attractions.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants throughout the duration of the tour.
- Answer questions from guests and provide additional information as needed.
- Manage time effectively to adhere to scheduled tour durations while maintaining flexibility for guest interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall guest experience and improve tour offerings.
- Maintain knowledge of current events, historical facts, and local attractions to provide accurate information.
- Foster a welcoming environment by demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

**Requirements**:

- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Excellent time management abilities to ensure tours run smoothly and on schedule.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for communicating with a broader range of guests.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and encourage participation among guests.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally, in a clear and engaging manner.
- A passion for educating others about local culture, history, and attractions is essential.
- An impressive personal travel or life experiences resume
- A pleasing personality and good interpersonal skills
- Be welcoming, tolerant and able to engage with any culture, races or religion.
- Willing to obtain RCMP criminal background check

Assets:

- Class 4 Driver license (or willing to obtain)
- Any Interpretive Guide Association courses or training (or willing to obtain)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
