TECHNICIAN, CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE - WESTLOCK

Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assisting in the installation, construction, maintenance and operation work on regulating stations and metering facilities, odorizes, cathodic protection equipment or other related equipment;
- Operating construction and heavy work equipment;
- Installing gas piping systems and performing related duties;
- Locating gas pipelines, performing alterations to service lines and mains, retiring services and mains; turning off and relighting appliances;
- Locating and marking the location of gas pipelines;
- Installing adjusting, exchanging and repairing pressure regulators and relief valves; and
- Participating in annual leak survey program.

Qualifications include:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year in a construction related job
- Valid Alberta Driver’s license.
- Acceptable licenses are Class 5 with Air Brake Endorsement, Class 3 with Air Brake Endorsement or Class 5 with Air Brake Endorsement.
- Ability to perform all necessary physical requirements of the position;
- Ground Disturbance Level 2;
- Standard First Aid & H2S Alive; and
- Mechanical aptitude.

Working Hours: 40 per week
Progressive Wage Rate: $37.97 - $40.10
