Unpaid Volunteer Position
- Westhills Care Centre is a BRAND NEW distinctive Long-Term Care Facility providing a variety of clinical and personal programs and services to 160 residents

Volunteers are important contributors to the care and socialization of our residents and play an intricate role in maintaining a comfortable environment. Volunteers should be caring individuals with an interest in making a difference in someone’s life. The many benefits of volunteering include:

**Volunteer Opportunities - available year round**

**Friendly Visitor (In person)**
- During your visit you could have friendly conversation, play cards/games, read with a resident, go outside and sit in the courtyard etc.
- Flexible hours weekdays and weekends

**Bingo assistant (Wednesdays at 3:00)**
- Assisting recreation staff with bringing residents to and from the program
- Bingo caller
- Sitting with resident(s) to assist them during play

**Large group programs and entertainment (Thursday afternoons)**
- Assisting recreation staff with bringing residents to and from the program
- Sitting with a resident(s) during the program

**Requirements**:

- Current police vulnerable sector check (within the past 6 months)
- 2 step TB test

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: $0.01 per hour
