**Project Coordinator - Transmission Line Construction**
**Ampjack Industries Ltd.** is an innovative solution provider in the high voltage electrical transmission line industry, providing upgrade design and construction services to our utility and asset management customers. These services include design and engineering, maintenance and testing, program management, construction, and turnkey EPC projects.
**Primary Function**
The Project Coordinator - Transmission Line Construction provides support to the senior Project Management team for the execution of the project deliverables. Research and analysis functions may include estimating, financial tracking, project monitoring, and performing data analysis relevant to the project objectives.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
The Project Coordinator will be called upon to perform any or all the following functions:
- High level of involvement in the development of project estimating, proposal development, project cost tracking and analysis.
- Participate in forecasting and costs accrual activities to accumulate all necessary data and prepare project estimates.
- Responsible for supporting the project management team by providing communication, coordination and follow-up necessary to meet the project goals and objectives.
- Provides ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
- Coordinates training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
- Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project participants, including client.
- Tracks project schedule and budget progress with project milestones and takes action necessary to keep project on track.
- Identifies and secures necessary approvals for changes in project scope, budget and/or schedule.
- Maintains communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client's needs within contractual obligations, or adjusting project deliverables to meet the client and Ampjack’s needs.
- Processes and estimates Change Orders and Requests for Information as directed by Project Manager.
- Coordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittals.
- Maintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transaction.
- Process/manage material deliveries - ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality and in compliance with Contract documents.
- Manage and negotiate subcontractor and material contracts.
- Assist in developing and updating project schedule.
- Work closely with field construction personnel (Superintendents, Foremen and Crews).

**Qualifications**
- Position is located at company Headquarters located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with rare visits to project sites which are located across the US and Canada.
- Diploma in Construction Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience in a construction-related position.
- 3+yrs of Project Coordination experience.
- Preference for civil construction or high-voltage transmission line construction experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Thorough attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Strong work ethic and motivated self-starter
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and conditions.
- Safety Oriented
**Required Skills**:
- Must demonstrate a high degree of initiative and ability to interact effectively with others at all levels both inside and outside the corporation.
- Develop initiative and judgment to effectively analyze technical problems in changing situations.
- Comprehension of project management techniques and standards
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
