**Location**: The Admiral Long Term Care Centre - Dartmouth

**Title**: Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) / Personal Support Worker (PSW)

**Schedule**: Casual, part-time and full-time hours available

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming to residents
- Encourage and assist in maintaining the autonomy of residents whenever possible
- Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information
- Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility infection control policies
- Record keeping, updating and maintaining resident charts and reporting any changes in a resident’s condition

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification
- Clear Criminal Record check and vulnerable sectors check
- Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program
- Effective communication, both written and verbal in English
- Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties
- Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
- Registered with the CCA Registry
- Previous experience working in geriatrics is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: Up to $24.83 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dartmouth, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
