**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct on-site investigations and field testing of building envelope systems (e.g., air/water leakage, thermal performance, moisture intrusion).
- Assist in the evaluation and analysis of existing building envelope performance issues.
- Prepare technical reports, field notes, drawings, and photo documentation.
- Assist with the development of building envelope repair and retrofit designs.
- Review construction drawings and specifications for envelope detailing.
- Perform site reviews and quality assurance inspections during construction.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of codes, standards, and best practices related to building envelope systems.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in Building Science, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in building envelope assessments, design, or construction.
- Familiarity with building envelope systems (roofing, cladding, glazing, waterproofing, insulation).
- Experience with field testing protocols such as ASTM, AAMA, and CSA standards is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and/or Revit; knowledge of thermography and energy modeling tools is an asset.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Ottawa region.
