**The Job**

Our office in Ottawa Ontario is looking for a Building Science Lead to assist with growing the office, designing buildings and providing technical expertise to our projects in areas such as Life Sciences, Tech, Civic, Education, Mixed-use, and Healthcare rehabilitation and restoration projects.

**Typical Duties**
- Lead Building Sciences business development in the Ottawa market, including scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, business development, and preparation of proposals.
- Prepare and produce designs, project management, overseeing the production of documents, quality control, shop drawing review and field investigations.
- Prepare cost estimates, specifications and contract documents.
- Project Management responsibilities (customer satisfaction, deliverables, quality, schedule and budget) for assigned projects.
- Prepare bid/proposal packages.
- Perform site inspection and condition assessments of existing structures.
- Provide site supervision and technical support for construction projects on an as required basis.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent
- Min 10 years of industry experience with an emphasis on building envelope and restoration principles.
- Construction engineering and project management experience in a consulting environment is preferred
- Ability to work with design team and work on multiple projects at the same time.
- Preparing reports and designs for large building envelope projects
- Previous experience managing Intermediate and Junior Engineers
- Registered Professional Engineer in Quebec and Ontario would be an asset.
- Excellent English and French communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously within a team-oriented environment
