Site Superintendent

As we expand, we are looking for a dynamic, dedicated, organized, and hardworking Site Superintendent to complete a wood frame condo project located in Langford, BC. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position. **DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** - Ability to create and follow the project schedule with updates maintained on a weekly basis. - Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems. - Keep up to date with RFI's and Site Instructions - Keep up to date with submittals - Review and accept the general conditions budget - Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements - Have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/client as well as effectively lead the trades. - Contact, Schedule and coordinate all subcontractors, suppliers and utilities. - Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings. - Inform the Project Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant design drawings. - Coordinate and direct independent testing and inspections as required. - Maintain and enforce good construction standards and quality control. - Maintain a SAFE WORK SITE under Lubec Construction Safety Policy - Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of Lubec's directly owned equipment on the job site. - Control and monitor labor, material and equipment expenses. Assist in preparation of the monthly forecasting summaries. - Ensure that "As-Built" drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period. - Coordinate all required municipal inspections. - Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists. - Ensure site opening and lock-up is completed each day. - Must be willing to work more than 40 hours per week if the job requires it including Saturdays. - Record daily superintendent logs - Record daily site photos **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**: - Minimum 10 years experience in all phases of multi family residential construction - Minimum 5 years experience in Site Superintendent role in multi-family residential construction. - Experience with Concrete and Wood Construction, Civil and Excavation, and Exterior Envelope. - Experience Operating Skid Steers and Zoom Booms is an asset. - Must be proficient with computers including Microsoft Excel, Word and Project. - Experience using AutoDesk Construction Cloud Software is an Asset. - Red Seal Carpenter Certificate is an asset. - Proof of Valid Drivers License with Clean Drivers Abstract is a must. - Level 2 First Aid is an asset. - Ability to work according to deadlines and prioritize workload. - Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements. - Possess strong organizational and time management skills. - Create and maintain positive relationships with team, clients, suppliers and subcontractors **PERKS WITH LUBEC**: - Full-time salary Position: $110,000 - $130,000 per year - 2 Weeks Vacation Yearly - Company work truck for work purposes - Company fuel card for work truck and Lubec Equipment - Benefits Package for you and your family - Lubec Construction would like to thank all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted_. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
