**Position**:Finance Clerk (Accounts Receivable/ Accounts Payable )

**Position Profile**: The Finance Clerk reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures, processing and monitoring receipts and revenues, and assisting with payroll. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that agency finances are accurate and up to date, that staff members are paid in a timely and appropriate manner, and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

The Finance Clerk must comply with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and CUMFI Policies and Procedures.

**Position Reporting**:This position reports to the Director of Finance.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Provide support for project-based budgeting and reporting.
- Prepare and assist with the submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required by funders, ministries, or the Government of Canada.
- Maintain and update the rent roll, ensuring accuracy in tenant payment records, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Coordinate and ensure timely deposit of collected rents, donations, and other payments, while regularly reconciling bank statements with internal records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial transaction records.
- Perform maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Oversee various financial functions, including monthly financial statements, bank deposits, audit activities, and regulatory reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in **Sage 300** and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of NGO/Government Funding: Experience working with NGOs, government funding organizations, and Métis and First Nation organizations is an asset.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles; experience with IFRS is considered an asset.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn multiple processes and provide support in other positions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate, organized, and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize workload. Demonstrated ability to maintain sustained attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Licensing: Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License.
- Additional Requirements: Must be bondable and able to provide a Criminal Record Check.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
