Forklift Service and Warranty Writer

The Service and Warranty Writer will have the ability to assist the Field Service Manager’s position in the case that the Service Manager is unavailable. This includes working with field technicians to help diagnose and troubleshoot problems as well as working with dispatch and the parts department to ensure that everything runs smoothly for the field service department.

They must be able to assist Field technicians with support as well as talk to customers when needed. They should have a general knowledge of computers as well as be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.

The position will consist of supplying and tracking quotes from start to completion, as well as logging the status of the quotes. It will include researching the proper parts and labor pricing for each job.

Processing all warranty claims on the customers behalf, following up with technicians and parts department, tracking and logging warranty parts, verify the success of the claim and log the success of the claim.

This position reports directly to the Field Service Manager.

Requirement

Ø Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in forklift repair field

Ø Hold a valid trade license (powered lift truck technician) or equivalent

Ø Typing experience

Ø Data entry in Microsoft excel and word is a must

Ø Troubleshooting

Ø Handle warranty inquiries, complaints, and provide product troubleshooting as required

Ø Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills

Ø Able to work well under pressure

Ø Strong attention to detail

Ø Able to deal with people sensitively

Ø Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be require
