Vision Hollow Metal Limited is currently looking to onboard a full-time Automation Robotic Machin Operator.

**Major Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to learn how to operate, including set up, maintain, preventative maintenance of equipment, and program the Robotic/Automation (Trumpf and or Salvagnini).
- Training will be provided by the employer and by the Equipment provider (Trumpf and or Salvagnini).
- Perform a daily pre-shift inspection of equipment
- Recognize the tasks at hand and the desired result by reading work orders, blueprints.
- Efficiently and accurately set up and operate for routine established work. Swap worn-out punching tools with new or sharpened tools after confirming correct tool height
- Understand work order requirements and material specifications from setup sheet. Verify completed part against specifications, using squares, calipers, tape measure, etc.
- Responsible to ensure material being received is to specification and defect-free (no dents, waves, stains, etc.).
- Maintain inventory of required material in the tower (establish a minimum and maximum). Perform daily/weekly maintenance tasks (limited to cleaning bend tooling, removing scrap from worktables, dusting optical sensors, vacuuming, cleaning plexiglass windows).
- Troubleshoot/resolve common machine issues. Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues
- Perform routine cleanup on machine.
- Ensure programming including correctional programming to work orders. Ensure to learn programming for all related activities
- Ensure productivity output and quality is maintained. Assist maintenance crew as needed. Assist spot welders as needed. Keep work area clean and organized. Perform other duties as assigned. Operate other equipment as assigned.

Knowledge and or Experience:

- Experience and knowledge in sheet metal processing is an asset
- Experience and knowledge of Trump or Salvagnini CNC software and equipment is an asset
- Experience with programming using Trumpf TruTops and TruPunch is preferred
- Experienced and knowledgeable on nesting
- Experience with sheet metal CAD/CAM programming for Murata Wiedemann type turret punches:

- CAD/CAM and CNC programming software (Metalix/CNC-Kad is a bonus).

Skills and Abilities

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.

Advanced knowledge of computer(s). Accreditation in Autocad.

Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Ability to perform engineering calculations as it pertains to sheet metal.

Ability to accurately read measuring instruments (i.e., measuring tape, vernier caliper, level etc.) in both metric and imperial units.

Knowledge of tooling and ability to set up machinery as required.

Ability to read production orders and drawings.

Ability to set-up, and operate machinery as assigned

Ability to adapt and adjust to various assignments

Ability to work with minimum supervision
