Financial Analyst

In addition, as the Financial Analysis Expert, the incumbent will assist his plant manager and business partners in the profitability analysis in order to support the decisions making**Why work at Cascades** - Great Benefits Package - RRSP program - Competitive Compensation packages - wonderful company culture - lots of career development opportunities - PPE Allowance - Profit Sharing **Individual responsibilities** - Perform Month End GL Push after reviewing data for any errors. - Train, coach and support Accounts Receivable & Payable Team and other Assistant Controllers. - To understand how the software should be configured / used to meet the department requirements. - Ensure standards are applied by the end users (adoption and proficiency). - Review task with different partners to stablish or improve the business mapping process - Standardization of processes and procedures (process improvement). - Must use the system on a regular basis. - Test new versions of the Software - User Acceptance Testing (UAT of all issues fixed by IT, Software company). - Maintain Training Documents / Videos / Job Aides and Exercises. - SAP GL Mapping from legacy AS400 for Go Live Locations. - Work with Team on Reporting Requirements (build new reports when necessary). - Set up Business Units, Payment Points, Actions in WebUI as needed. - Use Elemos for Accounts Receivable & Payable and Finance. - Assist in overseeing daily operations (AR/AP/Administration) of the finance department. - Other duties and special projects as assigned **Experiences and strengths** - Bachelor’s Degree in business management, with specialization in accounting or finance. - Business Process Mapping - Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role. - Have an analytical mindset, be rigorous and organized. - Have a sense of team spirit; - Have excellent knowledge of Excel; - Have excellent Communication Skills; - Knowledge of Elemos / WebUI (asset) - Have a relevant experience of ERP system, especially SAP; - Excellent problem-solving skills - Able to demonstrate flexibility with job duties and scope of work - Ability to fit in a dynamic environment and be a team player - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines - Bilingual (French/English) (asset); **Core competencies defined for this job** - Advisory role- Perseverance- Initiative- Accountability- Rigour- Action-based focus#revealyourpotential #LifeAtCascades Cascades believes in the success of an inclusive organization that values diversity within its team.
