What you'll be doing

As the Consultant, Business Operation, you will report to the Director, CSO shared Services, and will be responsible for supporting key initiatives and events within the Chief Security Office teams. You will consult with our partners and make informed decisions to ensure consistency and success across all of CSO. You will develop proposals and makes recommendations and provide innovative ways of working based on industry standards. You’ll be responsible for providing consultation on the development, communication and implementation of events and conferences that support the business strategy to meet employee and partner satisfaction. You will work autonomously to execute on assigned deliverables. This role interacts with colleagues at all levels within their area, while providing a range of administrative support to the department and complying with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls.

How you'll succeed
- Organizational Excellence: Coordinate and manage the preparation, testing, and maintenance of CSO Records and BCP plans within designated business units and functional groups, ensuring compliance with CIBC’s policies, standards, and procedures. Provide expert consulting and support for the review and documentation of Records and BCP-related deliverables, including monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization, from senior leaders to business partners. Employ a collaborative, hands-on approach to problem-solving, planning, and change management. Organize and facilitate discussions to support internal business partners’ objectives and departmental initiatives.
- Operational Effectiveness: Plan and coordinate CSO leader events, such as Town Halls and industry events. Liaise with Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging and branding. Collaborate with leaders to develop agendas, secure guest speakers, create presentations, manage the review process, and oversee all aspects of event planning.
