de le terre bakery is located just outside of downtown St. Catharines, Ontario and is seeking a full time server for our Front of House department. Our vision here at de la terre is to be the leading bread, pastry, and coffee producer in the region. We work hard to create a vibrant community hub, focused on pleasure, sustenance, stewardship, community, and creativity. We strive to be a destination for the community and to embody respect for the work of our colleagues, our customers, suppliers, and the environment.

We are seeking to hire a friendly, responsible, dynamic, and confident individual that will work in concert with the other de la terre team members to create an exceptional customer experience. The Front of House Server would be responsible for greeting and directing guests, as well as taking, delivering, and billing guests for all meal and drink orders. The Server position is the first and last encounter that the guests will have. It is important that such individual create a memorable experience for all guests.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Greeting guests as they arrive and directing them to the counter for take away or to seating for dine in service. The dining area will include the patio seasonally.
- Advising on the menu and taking meal and drink orders.
- Delivering meals and drinks to guests as efficiently as possible.
- All table maintenance such as clearing dishes and cleaning tables after guests leave.
- Billing guests and processing payment.
- Assisting other departments, as needed (training will be provided).

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Must be Smart Serve Certified.
- Strong hospitality and guest relations skills
- Familiarity in wine and beer is an asset.
- Must have experience working in a café, restaurant, or other food service setting.
- Flexibility and team mentality is a must. Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Available weekdays and weekends

Please note that hourly wage is to be negotiated based on experience. Tips are divided out weekly.

**Salary**: $15.50-$17.00 per hour
