**Position: Educational Consultant**
We are specifically seeking experienced educational consultants to provide tutoring services for elementary and high school students. This role involves both in-person and online tutoring, therefore applicants must be able to offer in-person sessions. Some exceptions may apply. We are specifically looking for people able to tutor high school math and/or science (all grades).
*There is also the potential for tutoring opportunities within virtual and in-person movie production sets.
**Responsibilities**:
As an educational consultant at Engage & Learn, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting tutoring sessions in the client's home, public locations, or through our online platform.
- Providing personalized educational support to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Developing and curating relevant learning materials to enhance the student's learning experience, including utilizing **our own curated resources.**:
- Employing a goal-oriented approach to track and monitor the student's progress, aligned with our company's mission and vision.
- Accurately documenting tutoring sessions according to your working contract and updating our designated hosting platform.
**Our Approach**:
At Engage & Learn, we offer more than just academic support. We believe that building a meaningful connection with the student is the foundation of successful learning. We prioritize establishing a trusting relationship that motivates students to engage with the learning process. Once this engagement is established, we adopt a goal-setting strategy, both in the short-term (per session) and the long-term (per month/school year). These principles are integral to achieving student success.
**Session Structure**:
Tutoring sessions can range from 1 to 2 hours, based on the client's preferences. Our matching process ensures that tutors are paired with students according to their specific needs, areas of expertise, and compatibility. Additionally, there is potential for group lessons, where a tutor may instruct a group of approximately 5 students simultaneously. We aim to line sessions up one after the other so that you can utilize your time better.
**Minimum Weekly Commitment**:
We require a minimum commitment of 3 weekly client hours from our tutors.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
