Winnipeg’s newest hotel Best Western Premier Winnipeg East is looking to add another part-time team member to their Front Desk Team.

**About the hotel**: We are a brand-new hotel featuring 141 guestrooms, meeting rooms, bistro/bar, expansive work-out facility and an indoor pool with water slide and hot tub. Our 6-story property offers upscale décor throughout with a whimsical nod to the railway tradition found in East Transcona where we are located. ‘Culture is What people do Without Thinking’ we believe in creating truly remarkable experiences for our guests. **About the position**: Our guest services agents are the service ambassadors for our property and go above and beyond in providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This is a part-time permanent position with 8-24 hours per week with the possibility for additional daytime shifts. **Overnight and weekend availability required.** We would love to know about you and your passion for customer service, so please attach a cover letter and address it to the Guest Services Manager.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:
Reporting to Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Greet the guests in a friendly and professional at all time
- Process guest check-ins and room assignments following the hotel’s rate structures, discounts and upsell strategies. Accommodate special requests when possible.
- Process check-in/check-out and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing, and accounting policies and procedures
- Be knowledgeable of information on the hotel and surrounding area
- Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures
- Ensure proper communication and cooperation between the departments for the smooth flow of operations.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Completion of High school required, post-secondary education in Hospitality preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience required in the hospitality industry.
- Experience handling cash and completing some basic accounting transactions.
