It’s an exciting time to join the team at Hydro One **DISPATCHER** **EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**: - Requires the knowledge that is acquired by an Ontario Secondary School OAC Diploma (Grade 13) Note: Currently Grade 12 requirement or equivalent level of education along- - Requires knowledge of electrical theory and practices.- Must have completed the Hydro One Networks Operating Centre Training Program,- Must continue to maintain qualifications I certifications applicable to the Operating Dispatcher classification. **PRIMARY FUNCTION**: - Monitor the distribution system assets on a 24-hour basis. Prioritize trouble calls and relay information to stakeholders.- Will possess clerical I technicat, customer relations and leadership skills.- Respond and identify planned or unplanned service interruptions and notify customers individually or through the use of IVR or other computerized system- Recommend priority of response to emergencies or incidents, such as fire, spills, accidents, injuries* bomb threats, and implement emergency procedures as per the Emergency Preparedness Plan.- Identify problems, issues and opportunities for improvement I corrective action. Respond and I or notify effectively to internal I external stakeholders.- Monitor location of designated personnel on a 24-hour basis. Relay information to stakeholders on a priority basis and upon the availability and proximity of crews,- Maintain an operating log. Provide operational expertise to all departments. Monitor weather, forecast impact on transmission I distribution systems, notify stakeholders and service providers. Assist in development of policies, procedures and operating agreements, improved processes, etc.- Respond to Emergency Transmission I Distribution Underground Cable Locates Distribution- - Refer more complex technical problems or issues associated with corporate policy, procedures, or interpretation of it to Supervisor.- Perform a variety of clerical I administrative tasks.- This classification is capable of performing atl or part of the function depending on the needs of the job.- Other duties as required. **TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT**:- Operate office equipment (photocopiers, radios, phone systems, faxes, etc). **TRAINEE** **EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:- Requires knowledge of electrical theory and practices, **PRIMARY FUNCTION**: - The Dispatcher in Training is a development classification that will involved participating in the Hydro One Networks Training Program and perform duties as necessary to achieve the end rate of Dispatcher Step 2 classification. They wili be required to gain knowledge on monitoring and operating the transmission system assets on a 24-hour basis.- Provide relief in the Dispatcher classification.- Perform other duties as required.
