**_Artic Machinery Ltd_**. is a BC heavy machinery dealership based out of Prince George, BC and we are expanding into the Lower Mainland. We are the BC distributor for XCMG heavy equipment, the 3rd largest manufacturer of heavy equipment products worldwide. Their product line encompasses all major industries including forestry, mining, oil and gas, and civil works.

We have an immediate opening for a **_HEAVY EQUIPMENT SERVICE MANAGER_** to help us manage our service department while increasing our sales revenues and maintaining strong customer relationships. In this role, we seek outstanding organizational and customer service skills. We expect you to be an excellent communicator who understands customers needs. Responsibilities Include:

- Managing shop team members, including customer service interactions. Provide the highest level of customer service with a sales-minded attitude while developing lasting customer relationships.
- Effectively manage team members, to ensure team objectives and sales goals are being carried out.
- Displays extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered
- Develop a working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, and ensures service department adheres to all regulations
- Perform service-related administrative tasks.
- Set up and maintain service desk, including managing shop team members and evaluating department efficiency.
- Resolve service desk problems and improve current service desk methods to increase productivity and customer service
- Monitor department issues and client complaints to define patterns and work to lessen any possible concerns.
- Provide a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and cooperating with site safety procedures.
- Implement and monitor a scheduling plan to effectively manage workload, support business objectives and maximize productivity.
- Develop and maintain effective communications and relationships with customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

- 5-7 years Industry related experience Any combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge and ability to enforce compliance with safety rules and regulations; to minimize industrial injuries and meet regulatory requirements.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
- Ability to oversee work assignment and allocation of service employee time to best utilize available manpower in the field or shop.
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short
- and long-range goals.
- Ability to implement and enforce safety programs.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Planning and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and complete projects.
- Ability to work independently and / or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of contract documents and specifications.
- Knowledge of parts distribution and parts management
- Knowledge of electrical, welding and mechanical trade repairs and maintenance.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Ability to coordinate quality assurance programs in area of specialty.
- Ability to develop and maintain record keeping systems and procedures.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections.
- Knowledge of budgeting cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.
- Management, supervisory and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of labour relations and personnel management.
- Ability to supervise and train employees.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy with a variety of individuals and groups.
