**What is the opportunity?**

We are currently looking for a Risk Manager for Zurich Cover-More (ZCM). This position reports to the Chief Risk Officer, Zurich Cover-More Group and will be based in New York or Toronto.

As a member of the Zurich Cover-More Risk team, you will assist the Chief Risk Officer in implementing and embedding the Zurich group risk management framework across Zurich Cover-More and running an efficient and effective governance function during and beyond the integration period.

**What will you be doing?**
- You will develop and implement the Zurich Cover-More Risk & Governance framework, ensuring alignment with Zurich’s policies and supporting the integration process across teams.
- You will lead the establishment of the ZCM Risk & Control Committee, including coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and providing support for governance activities.
- You will provide senior management with comprehensive risk assessments and reports to enable informed decision-making and ensure a 360-degree view of risk.
- You will conduct risk assessments, investigations, and monitor key controls across financial, third-party, and operational risks, escalating significant issues to senior leadership.
- You will support risk reporting, risk governance, and adherence to Zurich Risk Policies, ensuring compliance and monitoring across the organization.
- You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, driving a strong risk culture, ensuring proactive communication and follow-through on risk-related tasks and initiatives.
- You will prioritize risk areas during the integration process, focusing on short-term controls while developing long-term structures.
- You will streamline reporting processes and ensure risk information is effectively communicated within ZCM.
- You will maintain a strong governance structure, ensuring risk-related tasks and reporting are being executed in line with best practices.

**What are we looking for?**
- 5+ years of Risk Management experience, with a background in insurance or financial services.
- A strong governance background, ideally with experience in legal, risk, or compliance roles.
- Previous experience in board reporting or senior executive-level interactions is highly beneficial.
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and manage sensitive conversations with senior stakeholders.
- A global mindset, with the ability to work across regions and integrate regional frameworks into a unified global strategy.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive risk management manuals, contracts, and risk management websites.
- The ability to work independently without requiring micromanagement; this will be a small team environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- The ability to manage a high-visibility role and be proactive in chasing and ensuring progress on action items.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, OR High School Diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience, OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and 5+ years of experience.
- AND: Experience in risk management, including knowledge of underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, or claims operations within the insurance industry.
