Accounts Payable

**(Location**: Hamilton, Ontario)

**Position Summary**:
Responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties related to the timely and efficient maintenance and processing of account payable transactions.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Sort, log, scan and file invoices, checks and other documents
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Carry out additional projects as required
Provide administrative assistance to the Finance department
Help with internal and external audits as required
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Demonstrated knowledge of Invoice processing
Foundational Knowledge in Expense coding
Cheque run experiences
Open, sort and deliver department mail on a daily basis

**Education and Skills**:
2 + years related experience in Accounts payable
Post secondary education in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Word, Excel)
Experience using Dynamics AX would be asset
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent Interpersonal Skills and able to work within a team
Good communication skills (i.e verbal and written)
Must be able to work independently
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality
