Reporting to the Director of Finance Openlane Canada, our Finance Manager will be part of our Canadian Corporate Accounting team. Position will be based in Vancouver following a hybrid working model. This will be further discussed with the Director of Finance for OPENLANE Canada. Initially, the role will be primarily involved in supporting the transition of AMS to SAP. In addition, the position will work closely with our two Regional Controllers and assist with various accounting functions, including month end close and balance sheet reconciliations for Openlane Canada VLC’s. The position will provide support for VLC Accounting teams as assigned by the Director of Finance and/or Regional Controllers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
AMS to SAP Transition

Work with the product and engineering teams as well as AMS SME’s to facilitate the transition of the financial functions within AMS to SAP- Assist the product team with documenting existing financial processes within AMS and harmonizing processes between VLC’s- make recommendations on one process where there are differences identified between VLC’s- instrumental in the testing phase of the project and working with the product team and engineering to resolve issues

Other duties:
- Assist Corporate GL team with month end close- Prepare, Reconcile and/or review balance sheet reconciliations- Review monthly financial statements for reasonableness and investigate any issues- Prepare all accounting schedules as requested by the Director of Finance and/or Regional Controllers- Assist with Ad Hoc financial reporting as required- Assist with weekly, monthly and quarterly SOX compliance- Assist with external audit requirements- Practice and promote teamwork at all times- Set a good personal example of attitude and performance- Maintain a high degree of communication with VLC’s, team members, and Director of Finance and Regional Controllers- Ability to work independently and resolve problems as they arise

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:
- Professional Accounting Designation- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline or equivalent experience.- Advanced level MS Excel skills required- Previous AMS and Peoplesoft experience- Ability to question current processes, find efficiencies and recommend changes

What We Offer:
