As the YMCA Homeward Bound Team Lead, you will provide effective leadership in directing the overall delivery of programs and services in the assigned area.

You will lead a team of dedicated individuals who help participants address barriers, identify appropriate housing, access resources, manage housing allowances. Your team will also help participants set up their home with furniture, household items, and groceries.

You will develop a deep understanding of policies and procedures, standards of conduct and practice, health and safety standards, child protection standards and contractual, legal and regulatory requirements and role model professionalism in all interactions. You will be accountable to the staff team, program participants, funders, volunteers and the public for successful delivery of high-quality programs and services. You will represent the Y with peers in the Red Deer Region community services environment, create and maintain relationships with local community program providers and service delivery partners to make a difference in your community.

**Position Responsibilities**- Lead and develop a team of housing support professionals, providing a supportive and open environment for all-
- Ensure team adherence to policies and procedures for the health and safety of the team and participants-
- Coordinate program operations within YMCA guidelines and accomplish contracted performance outcomes-
- Research, plan, and evaluate program and implement improvements for the benefit of participants and program operations-
- Problem-solve critical situations and advocate for effective solutions for the benefit of program participants-
- In escalated situations, advocate on the behalf of participants with parent/guardians, schools, community agencies-
- Establish effective community relations relevant to the program, partner with internal marketing and communications to promote programs-
- Ensure accurate and current participant and program records, expense and revenue records, current statistical, outcome tracking, anecdotal information and participate in annual participant and program record audits-
- Facilitate and mediate difficult situations with landlords or other stakeholders during times of conflict-
- Collaborate with individuals across the association to contribute to our mission to create life-enhancing opportunities for the growth and development of all people in spirit, mind and body**What**
**You’ll**
**Need**- 1+ years of supervisory experience, coaching and supervising staff-
- 3+ years of experience in the human services field directly related to housing-
- University Degree in Human Services field or combination of experience and related courses-
- Knowledge of cultural and minority groups, high needs populations and other marginalized persons-
- Working knowledge of group facilitation, program planning, outcome evaluation, program promotion, marketing and public relations.-
Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate program outcomes-
- Demonstrated financial planning and reporting experience that adheres with funding requirements-
- Great relationship management skills with internal and external partners-
- Exposure to marketing and communications areas is an asset-
- Excellent organizational and time management skills Standard First Aid and CPR-C, Child Welfare & Police Security Clearance-
