At Farm Business Consultants (FBC), our roots run deep in rural communities, where we’ve thrived since 1952. Our mission is to partner with our Members (Clients) by easing the burden of managing their businesses through comprehensive tax and accounting services, alongside expert advice. We take a holistic approach, offering a full range of support, including bookkeeping, legal assistance, payroll, and access to financial and estate planning professionals. This well-rounded support allows our Members to focus on what truly matters: running their businesses and enriching their communities.

**Position Overview**
As District Leader, Maritimes, you’ll have the opportunity to build a legacy in the region. This role focuses on enhancing client relationships, strengthening business community connections, ensuring service and product delivery excellence, and driving local sales and marketing efforts. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll start with a team of five—how you grow from there is up to you.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Develop and Maintain Strong Member (Client) Relationships**
- Build and nurture relationships within the local business community.
- Address Member needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products to Members.
- Continuously seek ways to improve service delivery and Member experience.
**Drive Business Growth**
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
- In collaboration with the marketing team, strategize and implement plans to drive business growth within the Maritimes.
- Plan and execute local sales and marketing activities.
**Lead and Develop Your Team**
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a high-performing team.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment.
**What you Will Bring**
**Experience**:
- Leadership with professional services teams, ideally within tax or accounting.
- Proven success in business growth, sales, and marketing.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Experience in staff recruitment, development, and performance management.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, preferably with Tax Prep and Xero. iFirm knowledge would be desirable.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented mindset.
**Other Requirements**
- Ability to meet with Members, attend events, and participate in leadership meetings.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for out-of-town travel. While most trips will be day trips, some overnight travel may occasionally be required.
