**Title**:VMware/ VDI System Administrator

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ experience or 10+ year’s equivalent experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance
- Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment
- Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Strong Virtualization and Systems Administration principles and troubleshooting experience
- Good working knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, HBSS)
- Must have DoD 8570 IA Certification (Security+ CE)
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory groups, GPOs, user accounts, and other objects
- Ability to build, standardize, and configure Windows and Linux Operating Systems in various technical use cases
- Experience with Multifactor authentication, CAC/Smartcard PKI and certificate management in a mixed Windows/Linux environment
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vCloud and vRealize Suites, Horizon, and other VMware products
- Experience with implementing and configuring VMware Horizon products, UEM, instant clones, pools and building templates and expanding the architecture
- Experience with Hyper-converged systems from vendors such as Nutanix, Dell, and HP

**Responsibilities**:

- The VMware/VDI Systems Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all levels of support for the user base community
- Perform implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management
- Manages a VMware vSphere Infrastructure and Horizon VDI environment in support of several labs within a multi-zoned environment
- Manages the functionality of servers and computers running Windows/Linux operating systems such as (RHEL, CentOS, Windows 10, Windows Server) within an Active Directory environment
- Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems
- Assist in creation and maintenance of system documentation such as SOPs and policies
- Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening
- Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products
- Provides advice and training to end-users
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
