**Job Summary**:
Under direct supervision, develops and demonstrates the skills necessary to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install electrical systems and calibrate pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical control components/systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Diagnoses electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems and expedites repairs.
- Assist/Perform repair of electrical & electronic equipment and instrumentation related to production systems. Must be able to perform work to CSA and ESA standards.
- Capable of using electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems.
- Learn to carry out both field and bench calibration duties and tasks for the equipment following SOD’s.
- Expectation is to develop skills and progress to increasingly more complex maintenance tasks and the duties of a licensed industrial electrician.
- Follow the maintenance schedule to reach the production goals by following the proactive maintenance systems of machine, value added PM’s, ‘fix it before it breaks’ strategy and continuous improvements.
- Performs proper documentation and communication of work performed in SAP for compliance and contribute to root cause analysis of equipment.
- Follow SOP and acceptable industry practices to develop basic mechanical and strong electrical trouble shooting.
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

- Ensure personal adherence with all compliance programs including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible for an Electrical apprenticeship program.
- Ability to work within a team environment (as part of a team) as demonstrated through previous experience.
- Proven computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive by nature and self-motivated.
- Direct maintenance experience ideal.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and controls.
- Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements, as related to pharmaceuticals is beneficial.
- Willing to participate in skill enhancement programs and self development.
- Ability to work any shift, including weekends.
