Fowler Construction is seeking an Industrial Electrical Apprentice to assist and work under the supervision of the Electrical department and acquire first-hand experience of the trade, with the goal of becoming a licensed electrician.

**Key Duties**:

- Read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications for industrial electrical equipment installation and repair.
- Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and line assemblies, lighting, alternative electrical parts, generators and industrial storage batteries.
- Perform preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems.
- Receive instruction and follow directions as provided by the Electricians.
- Work on electrical failures and replace components wherever required as directed by the Electricians.
- Perform other duties as required, such as maintenance on plants.
- Complete work with attention to detail.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and mature manner.
- Any other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- High-school diploma, or equivalent.
- First-hand electrical experience or completion of a recognized electrical pre-apprenticeship program would be considered an asset, but not compulsory.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, lift 50 lbs., carry, bend, and reach.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing to acquire a DZ license.
- Mechanical aptitude.

**Work Conditions**:

- Travel to various sites will be required.
- Outdoor environments; and various weather conditions.
- Weekend and evening work may occasionally be required.
