**About the Role**:
**Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is looking for a Purchaser to join our Purchasing team at the Terus head office located in Surrey, British Columbia.**

The incumbent will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager and working directly with head office and the operations team. You are well versed in the field of purchasing. You possess between 3 to 6 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry. You are a team player paired with strong communication skills and business expertise. You are customer service oriented and have good problem solving abilities.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Establish and develop strong partnership with the management teams and business relationship with the local/regional suppliers.
- Optimize the purchasing power of the group with regards to procurement of materials and parts.
- Implement the proper purchasing policies and procedures that will support the operations while maintaining the integrity of the purchasing function.
- Allocate and properly code the purchasing orders in the filling systems.
- Ensure delivery of the equipment and materials on time as per the operations and projects requirements.

**Requirements/Experience**:

- College degree or University degree in administration, procurement or other relevant programs recommended. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- 3 to 6 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry
- SCMA diploma/ PMAC certification would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential. In addition, familiarity with JD Edwards Software would be an asset.
- Parts experience in automotive/industrial equipment an asset.
