**The Role**:
We are currently looking for a Purchasing Intern to join our Purchasing team at the Terus head office located in Surrey, British Columbia for a 6 month term with the option of extending another 6 months. The incumbent will be reporting to the Purchasing Manager and working directly with head office and the operations team.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Establish and develop strong partnership with the management teams and business relationship with the local /regional suppliers.
- Optimize the purchasing power of the group with regards to procurement of materials and parts.
- Implement the proper purchasing policies and procedures that will support the operations while maintaining the integrity of the purchasing function.
- Allocate and properly code the purchasing orders in the filling systems.
- Ensure delivery of the equipment and materials on time as per the operations and projects requirements.

**Requirements / Experience**:

- Current student or a recent graduate, preferably taking up Business, Purchasing or Supply Chain related degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is essential
- Team Player
- Strong Communication Skills
- Customer Service Oriented
- Good Problem-Solving Abilities

**Compensation Data**:
$26 - $27 CAD Hourly
