Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (“Yee Hong”) is one of the largest not-for-profit, culturally-appropriate seniors care organizations in Canada. At several campuses of care and other service locations across the Greater Toronto Area, Yee Hong offers a full continuum of services including active seniors programs, adult day programs, caregiver support services, transportation, meals on wheels, congregate dining, home care, long-term care, and hospice/palliative care.

**Job**: Personal Support Worker (Permanent Night Shift)

**Status**: Part Time

**Core Function**:

- Provides personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene and supports their physical, social and emotional needs, in accordance with the organization's resident centred approach, relevant government standards, residents' rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.

**Qualifications**:

- Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
- Experience in long term care setting an asset
- Current CPR Certificate (i.e., completed within one year period)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Chinese or Filipino language required for some units
- Relevant satisfactory work performance

**Working Condition**:

- Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bending
- Exposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and short shifts. May be required to work an alternate shift(s) to meet operational needs (e.g., emergency, training, accommodation, etc.) as per scheduling practices
