Position Description

The Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is a leader in academic medicine. Our educational and research missions support excellence and innovative clinical programs across the network of teaching hospitals. The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is one of McGill’s major teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.

The Division of Infectious Diseases at the MUHC comprises a mix of medical doctors and scientists with a strong research focus—which range from molecules, to patients, and populations. The Division also provides excellent service across the MUHC hospital sites and contributes to teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels, as well as supporting continuing medical education.

Qualifications and Education Requirements- Hold an MD degree, and have completed specialty training in Infectious Diseases and/or Medical Microbiology;- Be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);- Be eligible for licensure in the Province of Quebec and certification by the _Collège des médecins du Québec_;- Have at least one additional year of training specializing in surgical infections and/or infection control;- Possess strong clinical, interpersonal, and leadership skills; JOB DETAILS
