This position is ideal for those who enjoy a physically active role and a variety of tasks an responsibilities. They work with the entire team to ensure the housekeeping department runs smoothly.** The primary need is to fill shifts on a Monday and Tuesday (8 hour shifts) usually 9/9:30am - 5:30/6pm, plus the occasional Janitorial shift coverage of 7-3:30pm. Additional shifts and/or cross training in other housekeeping roles is also a possibility. - Hours can including weekends, holidays, and can be day, evening and occasional overnight shift coverage._ **We Offer**: - Comprehensive benefits package and union pension plan (based upon hours worked) - Employee, Friends & Family hotel discount - Vista 18 Restaurant + Lounge, and Clive’s Classic Lounge employee discount ~ 50% - Other Industry discounts - Employee recognition and events ~ birthday, holiday, employee appreciation events - Discounted staff meals - Learning and development opportunities - Tuition reimbursements & Cross-training - Bike storage facilities, discounted onsite parking and BC Transit -ProPass discounted monthly bus pass option. **Duties & Responsibilities**: - Focus on deep cleaning of assigned areas of the hotel including floor and carpet care of guest rooms and public areas. - Deliver supplies, assisting room attendants, janitorial and laundry when required. - Deliver housekeeping items (hair dryers, ironing boards, irons, etc.) to guest rooms upon request from the front desk. - Perform other tasks as assigned by management. **This Position has physical requirements**: Must be able to stand and exert well-paced ability for up to 8 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push and pull carts and equipment on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill projects that need to be completed and daily operations.
