Behaviour Interventionist

LOCATION: DELTA

Training occurs at Students home in: CLOVERDALE

Looking for a BI to support a 3-year old boy in preschool (Boundary Bay Montessori) starting in September.

Student is shy initially but once he gets to know you is playful, engaging, and so sweet He loves toilets and garages.

Preschool is 8:30-3: Looking for initial gradual transition support to help the student work up to a full day at preschool. Then once he is comfortable, fade back to 2, 2 hour-sessions per week.

Availability to do initial training with the student in the summer prior to start at his house **located in** **Cloverdale**is required. **Prior BI, EA or ECE experience is preferred, as well as experience with ASD.**Pay is commensurable with experience.

Team is supervised by BCBA Carolyn Rowell

**Job Requirements**:

- a minimum of 1 year ABA experience preferred, but not required
- be able to provide criminal record check (within last 12 months)
- the desire to make a difference in a child's life
- compassionate and patient personality
- can work collaboratively and accept feedback from BCBA and school team
- excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- excellent oral and written communication
- open for new learning and suggestions; a team player
- strong creativity and great play skills
- have own transportation
- be reliable, patient and consistent
- be at least 19 yrs old
- be willing to commit for 1 year
- Fluent in English

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
