As a Junior Technical Writer with Sonovision Canada, you will learn from an energetic team of documentation professionals who are passionate about the work they do. As part of the team, you will be taught a number of new skills in the technical documentation industry and eventually become an essential contributing member by authoring data for cutting edge technology.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Author technical documents for a wide variety of customers in a number of different formats.
- Work within a group to document maintenance practices for such industries as Aerospace, Naval, Automotive and Defense.
- Learn on-the-job cutting-edge documentation techniques, practices and software.
- Follow the tutelage and guidance of mentors to provide documentation of the highest quality our customers.
- Provide a new vantage point or out-of-the-box ideas that will contribute to the overall efficiency of the team.
- Analyze information required for the development and/or update of policy and procedure documentation.
- Provide regular status updates that details progress made to that point and any questions that have arisen.

**Qualifications**
- A strong willingness to learn.
- Proficient with computers. Comfortable learning new software.
- Experience with engineering drawings and data is an asset.
- Enjoys puzzles and working hard towards a goal.
- Is comfortable working independently but also not afraid to ask questions.
- Familiarity with structured data (HTML or XML) is an asset.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, analytic and organizational skills.
