At The Ottawa Bagelshop and Deli, we’re a small, independently-owned business that specializes in hand-crafted, authentic bagels, baked exclusively in our traditional wood-fired oven. Our customers love our delicious, fresh bagels, and we're looking to add a skilled, dedicated baker to our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, shape, and bake bagels using traditional methods, with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Work with our wood-fired oven to achieve the perfect crisp and texture that our customers love.
- Ensure all ingredients are measured and mixed properly for optimal dough consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and ingredient preparation as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service when needed, maintaining a friendly, welcoming environment.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, including food handling and sanitation.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a baker, preferably with experience in bagels or artisanal bread.
- A passion for baking, with a strong attention to detail and an understanding of the process.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays (as needed).
- A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
