SMG is Canada’s largest music funding management company. Our clients had 48 JUNO nominations this year
- SMG interviews its clients (artists, managers, labels) about their plans, schedules, strategies and converts these conversations into narratives, marketing plans, biographies, budgets, etc
- Deadlines, guidelines and arts administration are a part of our daily life, requiring organization, multitasking and autonomy.
- Sensitivity, understanding and empathy for BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities is fundamental.
- **Qualifications**
- You have experience as a journalist and are looking to have an impact on Canadian culture and music.
- You are a great listener and interviewer, skilled at finding the root of the story and expressing it.
- You are writer and editor, comfortable with modern language tools and working within various guidelines and style guides provided by multiple agencies.
