Our flagship fund, the AIP Convertible Private Debt Fund LP, recently won the “Overall Best Canadian Hedge Fund” award. We also offer exclusive access to pre-IPO opportunities through our Access Pre-IPO (XIPO) fund.
We are seeking a highly motivated **External Hedge Fund Wholesaler** with proven experience in selling alternative investments to join our team and expand the distribution of these market-leading products.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sales and Business Development**: Build and manage relationships with financial advisors, brokers, family offices, and institutional investors.
- **Product Promotion**: Present and promote the AIP Convertible Private Debt Fund LP and Access Pre-IPO (XIPO) to expand market share and drive sales.
- **Client Engagement**: Conduct meetings, webinars, and events to educate clients on AIP’s products, performance, and investment strategies.
- **Territory Management**: Develop and execute a territory-specific sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets.
- **Market Intelligence**: Gather feedback and insights from advisors to identify new opportunities and improve product positioning.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with internal sales representatives and marketing teams to maximize outreach and effectiveness.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven track record as a fund wholesaler or similar role in financial services.
- **Required**: Previous experience successfully selling alternative investments, such as private debt, hedge funds, or pre-IPO funds.
- Strong knowledge of investment products and the wealth management industry.
- Established network of financial advisors, institutional investors, and distribution channels.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSC, CFA, or CFP) are an asset.
