**DEPARTMENT: Members’ Products & Services**

The Members’ Products & Services department provides Doctors of BC members with exclusive discounted consumer products and services. We focus on three product areas: telecommunications, insurance and Club MD, which is a members’ discount program providing deals on travel, entertainment and more.

**THE TEAM: Insurance**

As a full service brokerage firm, we offer physician members exclusive Doctors of BC association plans and individual insurance plans from Canada’s top insurance carriers. Our Advisors are unique - they are non-commissioned so they can focus on providing sound advice and the right solutions for 16,000 physician members and their families.. Through the insurance advisory services, we provide comprehensive insurance planning to help protect physicians, their families and their medical practices. You will join a team of experienced Advisors and be supported by Administrators who work collaboratively to fulfill physicians’ complex insurance needs. Our service mission is to provide our members with financial peace of mind.

**THE JOB: Associate Insurance Advisor**

Reporting to the Business Development Manager of Members’ Products & Services, the role of Associate Insurance Advisor (Advisor) is responsible for analyzing clients’ personal insurance needs and providing recommendations that may include life, disability, critical illness, and accidental death & dismemberment insurance. The Advisor’s key market focus will include students, residents and family members. The Advisor will support an established book of business of insurance plans, ensuring renewals, increases, and changes are managed. clients. The Advisor will also provide superior customer support to our members. This role enables you to work-from-home as client appointments can be completed via phone or online. Occasional travel to Metro Vancouver may be required.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in financial/insurance marketing or sales role, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of individual life insurance and living benefits; able to present marketing concepts and solutions.
- Must be licensed to sell Life and Accident & Sickness insurance in BC; CHS, GBA, CFP or CLU designations an asset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as proven ability to develop clear and concise written documents and communication.
