**The Role**

**What you’ll be working on**
- Perform general clean up of all RS Distribution Services warehouses;
- Dust and clean racking and surfaces of warehouse equipment
- Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliances, sinks, toilets, blinds etc.;
- Operate hand or power cleaning equipment, including industrial vacuums and ride-on floor scrubbers as needed;
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities;
- Empty wastepaper and recycling baskets and disposal units; remove all waste to a designated area;
- Complete the cleaning logbook, report issues to the supervisor as needed and escalate any major facilities repairs required;
- Maintain outside grounds (removes snow, ice, and debris, weeds etc.) when needed;
- Perform other duties consistent with the classification as assigned.

**What does it take to be a part of our team?**
- At least 1-year experience in industrial cleaning is required, with a preferred background in a warehouse environment
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver Licence
- Knowledge on the usage of power tools is required
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to understand and execute instructions, and complete documents such as logs and reports
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Good understanding of safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively work alone, and/or with a partner or team

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**
- Physically capable of performing all duties of the position as stated in the job duties and responsibilities
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time; frequent bending, standing, crouching as the work requires
- Hazards associated with the trade;
- Work both indoors and outdoors; on multiple warehouses currently located at Inkster Industrial Park.

**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
