field technician This position is an opportunity to participate in unique and

detailed studies which will reveal and influence how much local municipalities,

institutions and businesses are recycling and diverting from landfill.

- You are a sustainability warrior who is passionate about enhancing

recycling programs and achieving circularity.
- You enjoy leading a team on project work, working together on every job

to collect and analyze waste.
- You like travelling and seeing various parts of the city, province, and

sometimes country.

Role Details, Salary, and Benefits:

- Opportunity to regularly earn up to 40 hours/week.
- Pay range: $18.50 - $21, depending on the experience.
- Company paid health/wellbeing benefits available after 3 months of full
- time employment.
- Waste audit and safety training along with proper PPEMain Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the planning, field work, and data reporting of all

assigned waste audits:

- Conduct waste audits by analyzing and manually sorting waste, residual,

recycling, and organics into different material categories.
- Assist in onsite sample extraction, disposal, and site organization.
- Conduct waste audits at various sites across the GTA
- Be apart of a waste audit team, being within a productive and positive

working environment.
- Participate in out-of-town audits (including travel accommodations and

pier diem provided by WRG)
- Chance to support waste audit lead with data entry and analysis.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in an environmental discipline or

equivalent experience/accreditation
- 1+ years of experience in conducting waste audits and report writing.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to get to the GTA job sites via car or public transit.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 30lbs, be willing and able to perform

physical labour.
- Able to work well in a team, positive and friendly attitude.
- Effective communication skills
- Good attention to detail
