**About the Role**:
Lead the daily plant sanitation and sanitation employees. The role works closely with quality department on Driving improvements within the plants via improving sanitation processes. This position is responsible for the Inventory management of chemicals, maintaining sanitation equipment. The role is responsible to work with the external cleaning contractors in regards streamlining sanitation protocols and drive improvements within the plant.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager the position requires the following but not limited to:
Train the existing Sanitation staff on the Sanitation’s procedures and SSOP’s.
- Monitor the non-daily sanitation schedule plant wide cleaning and sanitation.
- Clutter free mentality a self starter an individual who brings ideas to the table driving improvement.
- Responsible for inventory management for chemicals, PPE’s within the plant.
- Responsible for scheduling sanitation staff and covering vacations and act as back up in some instances.
- Monitor equipment condition through scheduled food safety preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Perform all responsibilities following established GMP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Responsible to verify all sanitation documents and ensure employees filing out documents are appropriately trained. Keep accurate records of cleaning performed.
- Responsible to work with Chemical Provider to arrange chemical trainings for all employees.
- Report any workplace incidents to QA Manager / HR immediately in the form of incident reports
- To ensure that the sanitation employees are following company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures.
- Report any equipment related issues that affect food safety.
- Job duties are not limited to the above and other duties may be assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of high school education or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of sanitation experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment and a team player.
- Knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Familiar with GMP’s, SSOP’s, HACCP
- Basic leadership/front line supervisory skill is preferred or is beneficial
- Regular, dependable attendance is an essential function of this position

**Physical Requirement**:

- Ability to lift up to 40lbs - 55lbs
- Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day
- Other tasks as assigned
- Excellent physical coordination and conditioning;
- Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, grasping and stair climbing

**Language Requirement**:

- English. Chinese would be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Sanitation: 2 years (preferred)
